Pirk (Rosenthal am Rennsteig)

Pirk was the eastern part of Birkenhügel in the municipality of Rosenthal am Rennsteig in the Saale-Orla district in Thuringia .

history

Pirk was first documented in 1441. Until 1918 the area of the hamlet belonged to the Principality of Reuss Younger Line. On February 28, 1923, Lerchenhügel and Pirk merged to form the municipality of Birkenhügel.
