The Pisagua Hill is about 60 m high hill on Deception Iceland in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . It rises between Lake Ajmonecat and Telefon Bay and was formed between 1967 and 1969 as a result of volcanic eruptions . The hill belongs to Antarctic Specially Protected Area # 140.
The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named him in 2010 after the whaling ship Pisagua the Norwegian whaling entrepreneur Lars Christensen , the on January 27, 1913 before Deception Iceland havariert was.
