Pisanitsa Island (English; Bulgarian остров Писаница ostrow Pisaniza ) is an island in a southwest-northeast orientation 270 m long and 60 m wide . It belongs to the Meade Islands in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands and is 1.26 km west to north of Duff Point , 120 m northeast of Cave Island and 3.6 km southeast of Pyramid Island .
British scientists mapped it in 1968, Bulgarian in 2009. The Bulgarian Commission for Antarctic Geographical Names named it in 2013 after the village of Pisanitsa in southern Bulgaria .
