The Meade Islands are a group of two islands and a few cliffs in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . They are located in the north entrance to McFarlane Strait between Livingston Island and Greenwich Island . The larger of the two islands is Zverino Island , the smaller Cave Island .
They were mapped and named in 1935 by participants in the British Discovery Investigations . It is named after C. M. Meade, surveyor for the hydrographic department of the British Admiralty .
