Lists on the subject |
The pistol vz. 27 (also known as ČZ 27 ) is a Czech self-loading pistol .
history
development
The vz. 27 was made by Josef Nickl on behalf of ČZ-Werke from the pistol vz. 24 further developed. The Model 24, with which the troops of Czechoslovakia were equipped prior to World War II , proved too costly to manufacture.
Under German occupation
Until the annexation of Czechoslovakia in 1939, no large numbers could be delivered. The weapon was then manufactured under German control. While other ČZ models were soon abandoned, the production of this robust weapon was accelerated. About half a million pieces were produced during the German occupation alone. The pistols were issued to both the Wehrmacht and the police, where they were listed as Pistol 27 (t) .
post war period
After the war, the ČSR continued production and made another 150,000 copies.
The designation vz. 27 refers to the introduction of the weapon as an orderly pistol . The officially introduced pistols were marked with vz. xx denotes. The spelling of the names varies, different uppercase and lowercase letters with and without a point in the description. Further designations such as P. 27 (t) emerged from the introduction by the German Wehrmacht.
technology
The vz. 27 is a recoil gun with a fixed barrel. Compared to the previous model vz. 24, due to the weaker ammunition, a simple ground lock is sufficient ; locking is not necessary. The weapon has a single trigger , the hammer protrudes only a little from the end of the slide.
variants
Version with extended barrel and barrel thread for mounting a silencer .
