The Piz Val Gronda is the third highest mountain in the area of the municipality of Obersaxen Mundaun (formerly the municipality of Obersaxen ) in Switzerland ( 2819 m above sea level ). The Hireli ( 2850 m ) and the Schwarzhorn (Piz Gren) with a height of 2890 m are higher . The Piz Val Gronda rises east of the Val Zavragia , which runs out to Zignau , and west of the Val Gronda , which runs towards St. Martin (former fraction of Obersaxen) and Tavanasa .
