Place Carnot is the name of a tunnel station under construction on line 11 of the Paris Métro . It is located in Romainville , Seine-Saint-Denis department , a few kilometers east of the Paris city limits. The station is located under the square of the same name.
Already in 1920 there were plans to build the Metro line 11 to this point. In the end, the decision was made to end the line two stops earlier at Mairie des Lilas station.
The station is scheduled to open in 2023. It is part of the extension of six stations from Mairie des Lilas to Rosny-Bois-Perrier . Construction work began on December 10, 2016.
There will be a transfer to line 1 of the Paris tram .
