The Platform Spur (freely translated platform spur ) is a wedge-shaped and 2350 m high rock spur with tapers in a northeastern direction in the East Antarctic Victoria Land . It rises in the northeast part of the Royal Society Range between the Bindschadler Glacier and the Jezek Glacier .
Alan Sherwood, head of the New Zealand Geological Survey campaign, which ran from 1987 to 1988 , gave the formation its descriptive name.
