The Playa Aranda is a beach in the north of Livingston Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . On the west side of Cape Shirreff, it lies north of the Aranda Glacier and south of Punta Antonio .
Chilean scientists named it after the name of the glacier of the same name. Its namesake is Óscar Aranda Valverde, officer on board the Piloto Pardo in the 20th Chilean Antarctic Expedition (1965–1966).
