The music of the song was written by Jack White and arranged by Charles Blackwell , the lyrics of the song were written by Michael Kunze . The original English-language version of the song was unable to make it onto the charts.

Cover versions

A well-known German-language cover version was sung by Andrea Jürgens in 1982 . The cover version reached number 45 in Germany.

Audrey Landers recorded another English language cover version in 1984. This cover version reached number 38 in the charts in Germany and number 43 in the Netherlands.
