Playa Paraíso is a district of Adeje , in the province of Santa Cruz de Tenerife . The place is on the west coast of the Canary Island of Tenerife directly on the Atlantic Ocean , about six kilometers west of the main town and about six kilometers north of the tourist center Costa Adeje . The capital Santa Cruz de Tenerife is around 60 kilometers away, and Tenerife South Airport is 28 kilometers away.

Playa Paraíso is one of the first tourist resorts in Tenerife. The place is dominated by four hotel and apartment high-rises from the 1970s, which are located in the central area of the village. There are also other flatter hotel buildings and numerous dining facilities in the village, but there is less hustle and bustle here than in the neighboring towns of Los Cristianos and Playa de Las Américas . The majority of the tourists who visit the place come from German or English speaking countries.
Bathing beaches
The place has two small beaches in the bays, in between the coast is rocky. In one of the bays there is the Lago Paraíso , a seawater pool that is subject to a charge , directly on the beach . The only diving center in town is also located here. The bay offers numerous opportunities for diving on the volcanic coast and is one of the best diving spots on the island. Even whales can be found in the bay in front of Playa Paraíso. On the rocky coast there is a small promenade that connects the beaches.
