The Playa Paulina is at least 185 m long beach on the banks of Barclay Bay of Livingston Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . On the west side of Cape Shirreff on the northern foothills of the John Paul II peninsula , it is north of Punta Yeco .
Chilean scientists named him after Paulina Schiappacasse Cambiaso, geographer of the 45th Chilean Antarctic Expedition (1990–1991).
