Playahitty

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Playahitty was an Italian Eurodance act founded by songwriter and producer Emanuele Asti.

The vocals for the project came from Giovanna Bersola aka Jenny B until 1997 . She is one of the important but little famous stars of the 1990s Eurodance boom and voiced many tracks, including The Rhythm of the Night by Corona . Hence the misconception that The Summer Is Magic is a song by Corona. As was not uncommon at the time, a model was hired as the face and figurehead of the project. In the case of Playahitty, it was Marion from France.

The single The Summer Is Magic marked the breakthrough for Playahitty in 1994 and brought the act chart positions across Europe. With 1-2-3! (Train with Me) followed a year later by another international chart success. In 1996 I Love the Sun was placed exclusively in the Italian hit parade of Musica e dischi .
