Plentingen

Plentingen is an archipelago island in the North Sea off the Norwegian city of Stavanger in the province of Rogaland .

It is located in the northern part of the city's Vågen harbor , only about 30 meters west of the island of Natvigs Minde , to which there is a connection via a jetty. The uninhabited, rocky, only sparsely vegetated island extends in a west-east direction over about 80 meters, with a width of up to 60 meters and a height of up to 5 meters.

Together with the neighboring island of Natvigs Minde, the island served at times as a berth for quarantined ships.

South of the island is a sculpture of the 23-figure sculpture project Broken Column by Antony Gormley . The 1.95 meter tall figure was erected in 2003 at a water depth of 1.49 meters.
