The Plenty River is a river in the south of the Australian state of Tasmania .
geography
River course
The river has its source on the southwest slopes of Mount Styx northeast of the Southwest National Park . From there it flows east and northeast around the mountain and then continues northeast to its confluence with the Derwent River at the settlement of Plenty .
