Pljeskavica
Pljeskavica [ pʎɛ̂skaʋitsa ] (from pljeskati for " clap your hands ") is a minced meat dish from the Balkans , which is considered a national dish in Serbia , but is also popular in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia . It is usually traditionally made from at least two types of meat (usually pork , beef or lamb ). Optional ingredients are breadcrumbs and lard .

- Leskovačka pljeskavica: very hot with onions ; protected designation of origin
- Šarska pljeskavica: filled with cheese ( Kashkawal )
- Hajdučka pljeskavica: made from beef with smoked pork
- Vranjska pljeskavica: made from pork
- Pljeskavica à la Mostar : filled with sheep cheese , served with roasted onions
