The Plußsee east of Rathjensdorf in the Plön district is a lake in Schleswig-Holstein . It is located in Holstein Switzerland and is surrounded by a hilly moraine landscape . Geologically, the Plußsee is a Söll - without inflows or outflows.

The Plußsee has a round shape with a diameter of approx. 400 m, is approx. 29 m deep and has a size of approx. 13 hectares . It is surrounded by forest and is particularly protected as a white- tailed eagle breeding area.

In the 1980s and 1990s, the Plußsee was intensively researched by scientists from the MPI for Limnology headed by Hans Jürgen Overbeck .
