The Pod Rocks are a small group of low cliff rocks off the Fallières coast of Graham Land on the Antarctic Peninsula . In Marguerite Bay they are 8 km west of Millerand Island .
The first measurements were taken in 1936 by participants in the British Graham Land Expedition (1934–1937) under the direction of the Australian polar explorer John Rymill . The Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey established a seal hunting camp here in 1949 . The rocks are named after an old term among seal hunters for a seal colony .
