The place is about 1.5 km northeast of the capital Valfabbrica and about 18 km northeast of the provincial and regional capital Perugia . The place is at 508 m slm and had about 30 inhabitants in 2001.
history
The name of the place, which is also called Poggio San Dionigi or Poggio di Sotto , Poggio Inferiore , Poggio del Priore , Poggio dei Porcelli , is Dionysius Areopagita . In 1232 the place belonged as Poggio di Valfabbrica to the Balia of Assisi , in 1469 the place appears under the rule of Perugia , which Cristoforo Scialacqua from Casacastaldo installed here as local ruler.
