The Point Retreat ( English for retreat tip ) is a headland on the Scott coast of the East Antarctic Victoria Land . In Granite Harbor it is located on the eastern foothills of the Kar plateau .
The name goes back to participants in the Terra Nova Expedition (1910-1913) led by the British polar explorer Robert Falcon Scott .
