Polina Jurjewna Wedjochina ( Russian Полина Юрьевна Ведёхина , English Polina Vedekhina ; born January 6, 1994 in Volgograd ) is a Russian handball player .

Career

Polina Wedjochina ran from 2011 for GK Dynamo Volgograd in the highest Russian league. GK Dynamo Volgograd won the Russian championship in 2012, 2013 and 2014 and was in the 2014/15 season in the Final Four of the EHF Champions League. In the summer of 2017, the backcourt player moved to league competitor GK Lada Tolyatti . Two seasons later, she joined the Russian first division club PGK CSKA Moscow .

Wedjochina won the U-17 European Championship with Russia in 2011 , the silver medal at the U-18 World Championship in 2012, the U-19 European Championship in 2013 and the silver medal at the U20 World Championship in 2014 . She is now a member of the Russian national team . In 2017 she took part in the World Cup with Russia .
