The Politische Memoriale eV Mecklenburg-Vorpommern has supported the project group for memorial work in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern since 1998 . The project group is concerned with advising the state of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania and all associations, initiatives and individuals active in the field of memorial sites on issues relating to memorial work and is a state-recognized institution of education and training, especially in the extracurricular and extra-company area for young people and adults on the other hand.
founding
The association emerged in 1996 from the memorial work project group in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania and became legally viable in 1998.
activities
Educational and research work
In cooperation with various partners, the association organizes events on historical topics with a focus on Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. The partners include a. the State Center for Political Education Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania , the Federal Foundation for Processing and the Ministry for Education, Science and Culture of the State of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania .
Memorial work
The association initiated, co-designed and set up numerous memorial sites in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. These include B. the memorials of the ship disaster of the Cap Arcona .
