Police union

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The police union is part of the public service union (GÖD), which in turn belongs to the Austrian Federation of Trade Unions (ÖGB). She represents the members of the federal police guard and members of the security administration. The relevant factions within the police union are the Christian Trade Union faction (FCG), also known as the Comradeship of the Executive of Austria (KdEÖ), and the Social Democratic Trade Union faction (FSG), which is also known as the Executive Club in the police union . The chairman of the police union is currently Reinhard Zimmermann (FCG), his two deputies are Hermann Greylinger (FSG) and Alfred Iser (FCG).

In addition to the FCG and FSG, the Action Group for Independent and Freedom Party (AUF) was able to establish itself as the third-strongest parliamentary group in employee representation elections with varying degrees of success.

Outside of the ÖGB and GÖD, there is also the Free Executive Union (FEG) founded by liberal staff representatives , which was founded as a union exclusively for members of the Austrian police and judiciary .
