Poloʻa (also: Boloa , Holoa ) is a small island in the Tongatapu archipelago in the Pacific . Politically, it belongs to the Kingdom of Tonga .

geography

The Motu is located in the center of the archipelago off the north coast of Tongatapu. It forms with ʻAlakipeau in the extension of Muifonua Point , and the islands of Tufuka and ʻAtatā in the north, the western edge of the Great Passage , Ava Lahi . Fafa is opposite on the eastern edge of the Ava Lahi Passage .

climate

The climate is tropical hot, but is tempered by constantly blowing winds. Like the other islands of the Tongatapu group, Polo'a is occasionally hit by cyclones .
