PSR 1257 + 12 c |
Poltergeist ( PSR 1257 + 12 c also PSR 1257 + 12 B ) is an exoplanet that orbits the pulsar Lich every 66.54 days . Due to its low mass , it is assumed that it is a terrestrial planet . It has almost the same mass as its neighbor Phobetor .
discovery
Unlike the majority of all exoplanets, this one was discovered using the pulsar timing method . The exoplanet was created by Aleksander Wolszczan et al. discovered in 1992.
Circulation and mass
The planet orbits the pulsar at a distance of about 0.36 AU with an eccentricity of 1.86 percent and has a mass of about 4.132 Earth masses or 0.01353 Jupiter masses. Its radius is estimated to be 9,400 kilometers.
