The Ponder Peak is a 1412 m high mountain in the East Antarctic Victoria Land . In the northeast Asgard Range rises at the head of the Repeater Glacier .
The New Zealand Geographic Board named it in 1998. It is named after the New Zealand architect William Frank Ponder (* 1916), who built Scott Base in 1957 as part of the International Geophysical Year (1957-1958) and for the Commonwealth Trans-Antarctic Expedition (1955–1958) had designed.
