Pony was a Bastei-Verlag magazine published from 1958 to 1960. It was specifically aimed at a young audience. The editor-in-chief was Eugen Hollerbach.

The conception of Pony changed in the course of its publication history in such a way that children who were able to read should be addressed at the beginning, while later children from ten years of age were the target group. In addition to the adventures of the eponymous figure drawn by E. Lutz, European comics were also represented. From October 1958, Pony was published every fortnight in half the newspaper format on thin paper with the addition “the happy children's newspaper ”. From issue number 33, the comics contained in the booklets were in four colors. With issue number 34, a weekly publication was changed, which was reversed with issue number 41.

Pony ended in July 1960 with issue number 49, ending all sequel stories. The Pony readers were referred to the Felix magazine, also published by Bastei-Verlag .
