The Popperodt'sche Haus is a listed building in the town of Gernrode, part of the town of Quedlinburg in Saxony-Anhalt .

The house is located in the northern part of Gernröder's old town at the address Häuschenstrasse 6 on the east side of Häuschenstrasse and is registered as a parsonage in the local monument register.

Architecture and history

The two-story half - timbered house was built in 1559 by the master carpenter Hans Höppner as a replacement building. The client was the first Protestant pastor and school rector Gernrodes Andreas Poppenrodt. The property served as the vicarage of the St. Stephen's Church . The gable facing the courtyard has decorations typical of the construction period in the form of fan rosettes on the wooden base.

On the west side of the house there is a Latin inscription with the meaning: I, Andreas Popperodt, rebuilt my father's house in my hometown in 1559.

Between the house and the house house road 7, also in 1835 was torn Häuschentor .

The property is surrounded by a stone wall with a gate.
