Porta marathon

The Porta-Marathon was in East Westphalia Minden-Lübbecke veranstalteter Marathon , which was held since 2009 and thus in the tradition of up to 2006 carried out Minden Marathon saw.

In 2009 the district of Minden-Lübbecke was looking for a follow-up event to the Minden Marathon and was able to win the owners of Porta Möbel to sponsor the running event. In 2011, this growing major event will be canceled from the fourth round due to the lack of further major sponsors and the great burden for the volunteer organizers.
