Portal Tomb Glaskenny / Onagh

The Onagh Portal Tomb (also called Oonagh or Glaskenny Cromlech ) is located near Enniskerry in northern County Wicklow , on a field boundary on the slopes of Knockree Hill in Glencree, between Parknasilloge and the Wedge Tomb of Ballyedmonduff , County Dublin , in Ireland . As portal Tombs be megalithic on the British Isles referred to in which two equally high upright stones therebetween with a door stone which form the front of a chamber which is covered with a massive part endstone.

The chamber of the Portal Tombs collapsed in the 20th century and one of the approximately 2.0 m high portal stones fell over. The large capstone has slipped and lies (about under 45 degrees) on the rest of the portal stone and the floor. The chamber measures approximately 1.3 × 1.3 m and consists of two portal stones, two side stones, the end stone and a broken door stone on the southeast side. The inside of the chamber has a thin layer of quartz .

Above the Portal Tomb there is an outcrop with rock carvings .
