Portela das Cabras is a place and a former municipality ( freguesia ) in northern Portugal .
Portela das Cabras is part of the Vila Verde district in the Braga district . The community had an area of 2.5 km² and 278 inhabitants (as of June 30, 2011).
On September 29, 2013, the communities of Portela das Cabras, Duas Igrejas , Rio Mau , Goães , Godinhaços , Pedregais and Azões were merged to form the new community of União das Freguesias da Ribeira do Neiva .
