The Limbach AG was one of the 18th century in Limbach founded, Thuringia porcelain factory and manufacturer of dolls and doll heads.

history

Limbach AG developed from the porcelain factory founded by Gotthelf Greiner in 1772 , which initially mainly produced tableware and animal figures. It was only after more than a century in the company's history that the production of dolls' heads as well as joint and bathing dolls began in the 1880s .

After the production of dolls' heads was interrupted from 1899, this production was resumed from 1919. Since then, the brands Norma , Rita and Wally , stamped together on the dolls with a clover leaf and a crown, have been registered trademarks of the stock corporation .

The company was still operating in 1937. In 1944 the company was dissolved.

Attributed form numbers

The produced Limbach Porzellankopf- and puppet forms the following form number were attributed to : 2780, 6335, 8552, 8553, 8660, 8675, 8682, 8822, 8867, 9027 and 9307 . The number 10000, which was still registered at the time of the German Empire in 1913 , did not designate a single form of porcelain, but "[...] a complete range of Limbach dolls".
