Postnord is a logistics company. It was created in 2009 through the merger of the Swedish Posten with the Danish Post Danmark to form Posten Norden , which was renamed Postnord ( original spelling PostNord ) in 2011 . Postnord had around 5,300 sales outlets in 2015. The company is based in Solna , Stockholm Province .

The Postnord Group's holding company is PostNord AB . The Swedish state holds 60 percent and the Danish 40 percent of the shares in this joint-stock company . The voting rights are divided between the owners in a 50/50 ratio. In 2014, the company transported 530 million letters and 120 million parcels to 25 million private recipients and 2 million companies in Northern Europe .

Post Danmark, which continues to exist as an independent company in the Postnord Group, has been cooperating with La Poste and DPD since 2012 . In 2015, Postnord signed a more detailed cooperation agreement with the DPDgroup and used it to transport DPD shipments in Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Finland, including the use of the DPD logo.
