The Potts Peak is a 350 m high mountain in the north of King George Iceland in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . It rises on the western flank of the Eldred Glacier .
The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 1960 after Jeremiah Potts, captain of the sealer L. P. Simmons from New London , Connecticut , who operated in the waters around the South Shetland Islands from 1873 to 1874.
