The Pourquoi Pas Glacier ( French Glacier (du) Pourquoi Pas ) is a 24 km long and 6 km wide glacier on the Clarie coast of the East Antarctic Wilkesland . It flows from the continental ice cap in a north-northwest direction and flows 18 km west-northwest of the Pourquoi Pas Point in the form of a glacier tongue into the Southern Ocean .
Aerial photographs of the US American Operation Highjump (1946–1947) were used by French cartographers for its mapping. The French Commission de Toponymie des TAAF named it in 1952 after the research vessel Pourquoi-Pas? by the French polar explorer Jean-Baptiste Charcot .
