The Pourquoi Pas Point is an icy cape in East Antarctica . It marks the west side of the entrance to Victor Bay on the border between the Clarie coast in Wilkesland and Adélieland to the east .
The cape was mapped during the French Antarctic expedition, which lasted from 1950 to 1952, and in 1954 after the research ship Pourquoi Pas? named by the French polar explorer Jean-Baptiste Charcot .
