Pousada is a place and a former municipality ( freguesia ) in northern Portugal .
Ponte de Porto over the Cávado
Pousada belongs to the district of Braga in the same district Braga . The community had an area of 3.6 km² and 442 inhabitants (as of June 30, 2011). The place is only slightly urbanized .
On September 29, 2013 the municipalities of Pousada and Crespos were merged to form the new municipality of União das Freguesias de Crespos e Pousada .
