Povilas Katilius
Povilas Katilius (born February 16, 1935 in Mačiūnai , Prienai Rajongemeinde ) is a Lithuanian politician.
Life
After graduating from high school in Prienai , he completed his diploma in electrical engineering at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering at the Kauno politechnikos institutas in 1959 . From 1957 he worked in the Department of Electrification at the Institute for Construction Projects in Agriculture . He was a member of Sąjūdis , from 1990 to 1995 a deputy in the Kaunas City Council , from 1992 to 2000 a member of the Seimas .
From 1989 he was a member of the Lietuvos krikščionių Demokratieų partija (LKDP).
He is married. With Mrs. Birutė he has the son Antanas and the daughter Zita.
