Powells Creek (also Powell's Creek and until 2004 Powell Creek ) is a 26.6 km long tributary of the Susquehanna River in Dauphin County in Pennsylvania in the United States .

It is formed by the confluence of its northern and southern arms southwest of Carsonville . Powells Creek flows in a southwesterly direction on the north side of Peters Mountain.

Shortly before the confluence of Powells Creek above the Clarks Ferry Bridge and Duncannon in the Susquehanna River, the water crosses the Pennsylvania State Route 147 .

The body of water is named after the Powell family who settled not far from its bank in 1760.
