Nagorno-Karabakh presidential election in 2002
National presidential elections were held on August 11, 2002 in the internationally unrecognized Republic of Nagorno-Karabakh .
The national result was a victory with a majority of 88.4% of the total vote for the incumbent Arkadi Ghukassjan , who won the presidential election with a 73% turnout. In 1997 he replaced the later Prime Minister of Armenia , Robert Kocharyan .
Due to the provisions of the Nagorno-Karabakh Constitution , it was Ghukassyan's last term (consecutive).
