Príles (Hungarian Prilesz ) is a district of Trenčianska Teplá . It is located in the Strážovské vrchy in the Waag Valley, about 12 km from Trenčín , not far from the towns of Nová Dubnica and Dubnica nad Váhom .

history

The first mention of Prilich comes from the year 1351. The name Priles is derived from the Prileszky family . Over the centuries the place was owned by the following families: Hudcovics, Mariássy, Gabrizovics, Rudnay and Skrbenský. In 1913 Príles was incorporated into the Trenčianska Teplá municipality.

In the 19th century a country chateau in the classical style was built in Príles, where mainly the Prileszky and Skrbenský families lived. After the death of Filip Skrbenský, the property came to the Trenčianska Teplá municipality. In 1924 the country castle was bought by the Czechoslovak Legionnaires' Community ( Československá obec legionárska ), which had operated a rest home there since 1927. After the Second World War, the country castle was gradually dismantled, so that only remains can be seen today.
