The Prasa is a 1707 m high ridge and mountain of the same name in the Orjen Mountains, which lies on the borderline between Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina .

description

The Prasa ridge extends between the Kote 1777 m and the Vučji zub and separates the two trough valleys of the Pirina poljana (also called Dobri do) and the Reovački do . Approximately in the middle of the ridge is the Prasa summit of the same name at an altitude of 1707 m. At an altitude of 350 m, the Prasa falls relatively steeply to NNW and SSE into the troughs of the two largest valleys of the Orjen. It is framed by the two Karlinge of the Zubački kabao and Vučji zub and shows glacial deformation on all flanks. In the northwest lies the actual Doppelkar der Prasa, above which the snow cave of Buganja greda can be found. Below the southern exposition of Vučji zub, the relief becomes steeper and the landscape takes on alpine features.

vegetation

The ridge of the Prasa lies in the oro-Mediterranean level of the Balkan pine ( Pinus heldreichii ). The ridge is thus also made up of loosened stands of pine. The ground vegetation is dominated by clusters of grasses with Sesleria robusta . At the northern end there is a locality of the endemic Orjen iris that has become known up to now .
