Praxedis Möhring

Praxedis Möhring (born December 2, 1959 in Bremen ) is a German lawyer and judge at the Federal Court of Justice .

Career

After completing her legal training, Möhring entered the higher justice service in the state of Baden-Württemberg in 1987 . In 1990 she was appointed public prosecutor for life at the Mannheim Public Prosecutor's Office. In 1992 and 1993 she was seconded to the Senate Department for Justice in Berlin to support the "Government Crime" working group . In 1994 she was appointed judge at the Heidelberg Regional Court . In the course of her secondment to the Federal Court of Justice as a research assistant at the 5th (Leipzig) Criminal Senate from 1997 to 1999, she was appointed judge at the Dresden Higher Regional Court in May 1999 and was transferred to the Saxon judicial service . From 2006 to 2008 she was presiding judge at the regional court and headed various criminal chambers at the Dresden regional court . Since her appointment as presiding judge at the Dresden Higher Regional Court in May 2008, she has been chairwoman of a family senate and a general civil senate. In November 2010, she was appointed judge at the Federal Court of Justice. Since then it belongs to the IX. Civil Senate , which is primarily responsible for insolvency law and the law of lawyer and tax advisor liability.
