Premiership 2001

The 2001 Premiership (referred to as the Northern Ford Premiership for sponsorship reasons) was the sixth season of the English Rugby League second division . The first place in the table after the end of the regular season occupied the Leigh Centurions , who were eliminated in the semifinals against the Widnes Vikings . They won in the final 24:14 against the Oldham Roughyeds and were promoted to the Super League .
