FIA driver classification
The FIA Driver Categorization is an annual FIA classification for racing drivers . The classifications come into play, among other things, when several drivers share a car during a race (e.g. FIA World Endurance Championship or ADAC GT Masters ). A distinction is made between the categories bronze, silver, gold and platinum.
Conditions of classification
platinum
The conditions for classification in platinum are:
- Maximum age 50 years and
- Formula 1 super license and / or
- Victory at the 24 Hours of Le Mans and / or
- Factory pilot of an automobile manufacturer and / or
- Top 10 placement in the Champ Car , IndyCar Series or GP2 Series and / or
- Top 6 placement in a Formula 3 series or World Series by Renault
gold
The conditions for classification in gold are:
- Met platinum conditions, but between 50 and 59 years old and / or
- Championship in the Kart World Championship or a monoposto series and is younger than 35 years and / or
- Top 10 placement in a second-rate international single-posto series and / or
- Top 5 placement in an entry-level monoposto series and / or
- Top 3 placement in a brand cup or brand formula
silver
The conditions for grading in silver are:
- Not more than 30 years old, but not meeting any of the conditions for platinum or gold and / or
- Platinum conditions met, but older than 59 years and / or
- Championship won in a national or international championship together with a professional driver (e.g. ADAC GT Masters or Blancpain Series ) and / or
- Championship in a non-professional series (e.g. Ferrari Challenge or Lamborghini Supertrophy )
bronze
The conditions for classification in bronze are:
- an international B license without fulfilling any of the above conditions
