Premijer Liga (handball)
The Premijer Liga (full name after the main sponsor: Dukat Premijer Liga ) has been the top division in Croatian handball since 1991. The organizer is the Croatian handball association ( Hrvatski rukometni savez ).

Main round
In the main round, 14 clubs play against every opponent in the first and second round. The bottom four clubs are relegated directly, while the clubs from fifth to tenth place play in the relegation round. The four best qualify for the championship round.
Relegation round
In the relegation round, the results from the games between the six clubs are taken from the main round. Then the teams play the two relegated teams in a two-way leg.
Championship round
For the championship round, the previous year's champion and the runner-up have already been set. These two teams plus the four best of the main round play the Croatian champions in the round two.
The master qualifies for the EHF Champions League and the SEHA league . The runner-up is entitled to participate in the EHF European Cup and the SEHA league. The third placed can also take part in the EHF Europa Cup. The fourth placed starts in the EHF Challenge Cup .
