The Presbyterian Church of Wales (Presbyterian Church of Wales - Welsh : Eglwys Bresbyteraidd Cymru ) is a Reformed Church in Wales . She describes herself as The Calvinistic Methodist Church (The Calvinist Methodist Church - Welsh: Yr Eglwys Fethodistaidd Galfinaidd ).

It emerged during the so-called "Welsh Methodist Awakening" in the 18th century and split off from the Church of England in 1811 . With the creation of its own foundation of faith (Confession of Faith), an independent church was finally established in 1823.
