Map of the Tangra Mountains with the Preslav Crag |
The Preslav Crag ( Bulgarian връх Преслав wrach Preslaw ) is a steep and about 600 m high mountain on the Livingston Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . In the Friesland Ridge of the Tangra Mountains, it rises 1.65 km east-southeast of St. Cyril Peak , 2 km north-northwest of Needle Peak and 3.1 km west-southwest of the highest peak of Peshev Ridge . It can be recognized by its ice-free south-west and north-east slopes. The Prespa Glacier flows to the southwest and the Macy Glacier to the northeast of it.
The Bulgarian Commission for Antarctic Geographical Names named it in 2004 after the city of Veliky Preslav in eastern Bulgaria .
