The Stendaler BC was a German football club from Stendal .
history
The club was founded in 1910 as SC Preußen Stendal . In the 1910/11 season , the club took part in the final round of the Central German Football Championship , but retired after a 12-0 defeat by FuCC Cricket-Viktoria 1897 Magdeburg in the 2nd round (the club had in the 1st round a bye). In 1912 the name was changed to BC Stendal in 1910 . In the 1923/24 season the club was renamed SuS Stendal , and in the years to come the club played in the Gauliga Altmark , one of the numerous regional first-class soccer leagues of the Association of Central German Ball Game Clubs. For the 1928/29 season, the club is again listed in the final tables as Stendaler BC . In 1930/31 the club was runner-up in the Gauliga Altmark behind Viktoria Stendal . For unknown reasons, Stendaler BC was allowed to take part in the Central German soccer final this year instead of Viktoria. With a 1: 4 defeat against Fortuna Magdeburg , the club was eliminated in the first round.
In the course of the conformity, the Association of Central German Ball Game Clubs was dissolved a few months after the National Socialists came to power in 1933 and the football leagues were reorganized. The Stendaler BC played from then on in the football district Mitte , but could not reach the first-class Gauliga. After Germany surrendered in World War II , all sports clubs in East Germany were dissolved on the basis of Directive No. 23 of the Allied Control Council of the Occupying Powers.
