Private is a pop music trio from Denmark consisting of the Danish producer Thomas Troelsen, the guitarist Asger Tarpgaard and the singer Tanja Simonsen. Although the style is clearly based on the New Wave sound of the 1980s, the young age of the songs can be recognized by the modern, clean sound. The debut album My Secret Lover was produced by Troelsen in Copenhagen and New York City , and mastered by Jason Boshoff ( Basement Jaxx , David Gray ) in London. The first single from the album of the same name reached number 1 in the Danish single, airplay and download charts and also received many good reviews.
